Children

Families with children

Children of all ages are always welcome in church and on the 1st Sunday of each month the service is particularly focused on all ages worshipping together.

Sometimes though, adults and children need to hear and learn about Christian beliefs through activities, stories and explanation specifically aimed at their own age group and level of understanding.

Footprints‘ provides christian education for primary age children on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month meeting in the Merry Bells.

Footprints is the initiative of our LEP partners, St Mary’s. Children begin the service in their own churches and are escorted to and from ‘Footprints‘, rejoining the adults at around 11am.

We’re excited about a new community church service that’s on the third Sunday of each month.

The Meeting Place

where children, teens and adults of our community are encouraged and inspired by exploring life and faith from a Christian perspective.

It’s a very interactive time with drama, stories, and song and you’ll be able to choose between creative activities, café discussion, crafts and worship. It’s a place full of colour, creativity, reflection and discussion.

After the service we have a bring-and-share meal  (bring as much as your group would normally eat, we’ll pop it all on the tables and share it).

Every third Sunday of the month at The Merry Bells in Wheatley High Street – 4pm – 6pm

The Meeting Place is organised by Wheatley URC, St Mary’s and Fusion YAC UK.
