Church Meeting

The church meeting is the forum where the members of the congregation have the opportunity through discussion, responsible decision making, and care for one another, to strengthen each other’s faith and to foster the life, work and mission of the church.

Wheatley URC get together in church meeting four times a year.  Church Meetings are usually held after morning worship on the second Sunday in January, April, July and September. Please check the Church Calendar.

Annual General Meeting

The church holds and Annual General Meeting (AGM) usually in July.

Who can attend the church meeting?

Anyone who regularly worships at Wheatley URC is welcome to attend the church meeting.

If there are issues that require a vote, then only those who have been received into membership of the United Reformed Church and whose names are included on the membership roll of Wheatley URC have a right to vote. However, it is our tradition at Wheatley URC, wherever possible, to come to a consensus when making decisions, only taking a vote of members on occasions such as the call of a new minister.
