Using our premises

Wheatley URC 2010
Wheatley URC

As part of our commitment to participating in and supporting our local community, we offer the church buildings as a resource to the local community.
Local organisations or individuals may use the premises at the discretion of the church elders. The premises are not available for commercial or business use.

The Church buildings

We’re investing in our premises!  The intention is to create a new room ‘The Mulberry Room’ to modern standards in place of the sixties extension on Crown Square and to improve our hall and kitchen facilities.

You can see how we are getting on at ‘The Cogwheel Project’ .

The Hall and kitchen are now back in use but storage space is still at a premium. We would like to thank all our regular users for their support and patience in this period of transition.

We do not make a specific hire charge but we do welcome contributions towards cleaning, heating etc. For regular users a suggested sum is £10 – £15 per session and for individual bookings, e.g. parties, a sum of £20.

The buildings are kept locked and access will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Safeguarding Policy

All bookings involving children, young people and vulnerable adults are required to have their own Safeguarding Policy and/or comply with Wheatley URC Safeguarding Policy (available in our Policy Document library).

For further information about this please contact the Church Safeguarding Officer.

Please download and read our Terms and Conditions of use.

Bookings should be made by telephone to Malcolm Benson – 01865 873843.
